The new coronavirus pandemic COVID-19 and associated restrictions, which are imposed on the activity of most entities, have paralyzed the operation of a great number of companies in Russia as well as all over the world. This affected primarily small and medium-sized businesses, while large industrial enterprises today appear to show more resistance to the effect of the current situation and more flexibility in adapting to it.
As soon as the companies that produce essential goods, systemic companies and those with continuous production were allowed to resume operation, JSC NIPOM (Nizhny Novgorod) was among the first in the Nizhny Novgorod Region who obtained a work permit and continued production operation in compliance with the requirements of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing.
In order to prevent the spreading of the coronavirus infection and to ensure personnel health protection, NIPOM responsibly adheres to all regulatory recommendations. The company is taking the necessary steps to protect the personnel working at the production facilities, such as employees’ transportation to the worksite by special transport, obeying all protection requirements, worksite and dining area special arrangement, providing individual protection means, and carrying out premises disinfection. Some of the departments started working remotely that was mostly contributed to by a high level of digitalization and entirely electronic document flow adopted by the company. The Emergency Response Team is working 24/7; communication with the local government authorities is proceeding on a continuous basis. All of these measures enabled the company to arrange continuous operation of the all business units and to ensure the designing, manufacturing, assembling, commissioning, testing, acceptance and shipment of orders under trying circumstances within the shortest possible time. The most up-to-date information on the company’s operation you can find at the official NIPOM website under the News section.
The employees at NIPOM (Nizhny Novgorod) are confident: adapting to the new reality is a must. Domestic companies can and must emerge victorious from the fight with the coronavirus! The government represented by the federal and regional authorities is expected to lend its shoulder by developing an additional set of measures that should be aimed at stabilizing the operation of industrial enterprises.
